Built from my heart 💛

This was built from my heart, from a real kitchen table, on real hard nights. These are the things I wish someone had said to me sooner — so I'm saying them to you.

Made for you ♥ Please don't share or resell it. If it helps, send another tired mom my way instead.
A letter first
Hey, you.

I don't know what kind of day you're having. But if you're holding this, I'm guessing it's been a long stretch of hard ones.

So let me say the thing nobody said to me soon enough:

You're not doing it wrong. You're doing it tired.

There's a difference, and almost nobody tells you that. For years I figured the chaos meant I was the problem — that every other mom got a secret manual I lost in the hospital parking lot. Nope. They're winging it too. Some are just better at hiding it.

This isn't a stack of pretty quotes that make you feel something for four seconds before you scroll on by. I can't stand those. I've got a thousand screenshots and not one of them ever unloaded a damn dish.

These are the real ones — the stuff I needed at 11pm, sink full of dishes, staring at a woman in the mirror I didn't recognize anymore. Each one comes with the honest talk behind it, a line to hold onto, a question to sit with, and one small thing you can actually do. Not a project. One small thing.

You don't have to read it in order. Open to the page you need, take the one line that lands, and let the rest wait. It'll keep.

Read one tonight. That's enough. Showing up is the whole job today.

How to actually use this 🗓️

Don't sit down and read the whole thing tonight — that's a great way to do nothing with it. Here's a way in: one reminder a day for a week. Read it, sit with it for ten seconds, do the one small thing. That's the whole assignment. After day 7, flip to whatever page you need, whenever you need it. There's no finish line — that's the point.

MON
You showed up. Today the assignment is nothing. You're here, you're doing it. Just notice that — don't fix a thing.
TUE
You're not failing. Pick the ONE thing that wrecks your day and just look at it. That's it for today. We fix it later.
WED
Fed is enough. Let one dinner be lazy on purpose. Cereal counts. Zero guilt allowed.
THU
Progress over perfection. Ten messy minutes on the thing you're avoiding. Timer on. Stop when it dings.
FRI
I mattered too. Name one thing that fills your cup — and actually do it this weekend. Put it where you'll see it.
SAT
Repair, don't punish. One real "I'm sorry" — to a kid, or to you. Then let it be done. No re-punishing.
SUN
Love Hard. Love Deep. Tell someone in your house why you love them, out loud. Then say one kind thing to you.
That's the whole week. Love Hard, Love Deep ♡ — A

01
You're not failing.
You just don't have
the system yet.

From Amanda

Okay, listen. For years I thought I was just bad at this. Everybody else's house ran and mine ran me. Turns out it was never a character flaw — I didn't need more willpower, I needed a system that fit my actual brain and my actual kids. The second I quit white-knuckling it and built that, the noise went down. You're not lazy. You're not behind. You're hauling a ton of stuff with no cart. That's it. Let's get you a cart.

Remember this
A messy house is not a verdict on your worth. It's a to-do, not a diagnosis.
✍️ Where am I blaming myself for something that's really just a missing system?
🎯
One small thing: Pick the ONE spot that wrecks your day the most — keys, mornings, the dishes — and fix only that this week. Just one.
02
You showed up.
That's the whole
job today.

REAL · RAW · TRUTH
From Amanda

Some days the whole win is everybody's alive and you didn't vanish into the bathroom for an hour. (No judgment — I've taken the hour.) Nobody warns you that most of this gig is just… staying. Staying when it's boring. Staying when you'd sell a kidney for one damn quiet minute. You stayed. To a kid, that's everything. Pinterest can keep its crafts.

Remember this
Presence beats perfect. Every single time.
✍️ What did I actually do today that I'm giving myself zero credit for?
📝
One small thing: Write down three things you DID today — not three you failed to do. Read them back.
03
You're more than
Mom, Mama, Bruh.
You're YOU.
Love Hard, Love Deep ♡ — A
REAL · RAW · TRUTH
From Amanda

Somewhere between the hospital bracelet and now, you got buried under everybody's snacks and needs. You answer to fifteen names a day and not one is the one your friends used to holler across a parking lot. I'm not saying ditch the kids and go find yourself in Bali (cute, but no). I'm saying she's still in there — the one with a laugh and opinions and stuff she actually liked. She didn't die. She's just under a pile of laundry. Go dig a little.

Remember this
You were a whole person before you were anyone's mom. You still are.
✍️ Who was I before all this — and what's one piece of her I miss?
One small thing: Do one small thing this week that's only for you. Not productive. Not for the family. Just yours.
04
Not the last item
on the list.
The reason there's
a list at all.
Love Hard, Love Deep ♡ — A
REAL · RAW · TRUTH
From Amanda

You shove yourself dead last so automatically you forgot you're the one holding the whole thing up. Everybody eats because you thought about it. Everybody's where they need to be because you drove. The list exists because you exist. And a you running on cold coffee and fumes can't keep the list. This isn't selfish-math — it's keep-the-lights-on math. You're not the leftovers. You're the damn engine.

Remember this
Take care of you, or there's no you left to take care of them.
✍️ What need of mine do I keep pushing to "later" — and what does that cost me?
📅
One small thing: Put ONE thing for you on the actual calendar this week. In ink. Like it matters — because it does.
05
Fed is enough.
Love Hard, Love Deep ♡ — A
REAL · RAW · TRUTH
From Amanda

Some nights it's a real dinner. Some nights it's cereal and "everybody grab something." That Pinterest voice in your head wants to shame you for it — tell her to sit the hell down. Your kids will not be in therapy over cereal night. They'll remember the kitchen felt safe and nobody got screamed at over a casserole they weren't gonna eat anyway. Fed is the win. Take "gourmet" off your back tonight.

Remember this
Nobody grows up traumatized by cereal night. Fed is enough.
✍️ Where am I holding myself to a standard my kids never asked for?
🥣
One small thing: Give yourself ONE no-cook, zero-guilt back-pocket dinner this week. Decide it now so the 5pm panic can't.
06
Progress over
perfection.
Love Hard, Love Deep ♡ — A
REAL · RAW · TRUTH
From Amanda

Perfect is just procrastination in a cute outfit. I've skipped a whole job because I couldn't do it all the way — like a half-clean kitchen was a waste of time. Nope. A little bit done beats perfect-someday every single time. One load. One drawer. One hard text you finally hit send on. You don't have to run the whole marathon today. Just don't quit on you.

Remember this
Done a little beats perfect never.
✍️ What am I putting off because I can't do it "all the way" right now?
⏲️
One small thing: Take the thing you're avoiding and do 10 minutes of it. Set a timer. Stop when it dings — guilt-free.
07
That's not failure.
That's motherhood.
Love Hard, Love Deep ♡ — A
REAL · RAW · TRUTH
From Amanda

The yelling you'd take back. The meltdown in aisle 9. The night you hid in the bathroom just to breathe for three minutes. You think that's you failing. It's not — that's you in it. The raw, nobody-posts-this part. Every mom you've put on a pedestal has a bathroom-floor story she's not telling. The hard parts aren't proof you're bad at this. They're proof you showed up for the hard parts.

Remember this
The hard days aren't you failing. They're you mothering.
✍️ What "failure" am I carrying that's actually just a normal, human, hard day?
💬
One small thing: Text one mom friend the messy truth of your day — no filter. Let her say "same."
08
Repair,
don't punish.
Love Hard, Love Deep ♡ — A
REAL · RAW · TRUTH
From Amanda

You're gonna lose it sometimes. You're human, you're touched-out, the snap happens. What matters isn't never snapping — it's going back. "Hey, I was wrong, that wasn't about you, I love you." That teaches your kid more than any calm voice ever could: people come back, love doesn't bail when it gets hard. And the part nobody says — that "come back" includes coming back for you. Quit serving yourself a life sentence.

Remember this
The repair is the lesson. For them — and for you.
✍️ Is there a moment I need to repair with my kid — or with myself?
🤍
One small thing: Make one real repair this week — "I'm sorry, that wasn't okay." Then let it be done. No re-punishing.
09
I mattered too.
Love Hard, Love Deep ♡ — A
REAL · RAW · TRUTH
From Amanda

I poured out of a cup nobody was filling — me included — for years. Told myself my needs could wait, that wanting anything for me was selfish. It nearly flattened me. Here's what I wish someone had grabbed me and said: you mattered too. The whole time. Your rest counts. Your tired counts. You're not the staff — you're a person in this family with a name and a limit. Fill your own cup on purpose, because nobody's sprinting over here to do it for you.

Remember this
You can't pour from empty. Fill yours on purpose.
✍️ What do I need this week that I've been treating like it doesn't count?
🫖
One small thing: Name one thing that fills your cup — and actually do it before Sunday. Put it where you'll see it.
10
Pick your battles.
Bank the wins.
Love Hard, Love Deep ♡ — A
REAL · RAW · TRUTH
From Amanda

You cannot win every fight in one day and still be standing at bedtime. The mismatched socks? The unmade bed? Let it the hell go. Save your gunpowder for what actually matters. And flip it — when something goes right (they didn't fight, you stayed calm, dinner happened), bank it. Say it out loud. We're trained to keep a running tab of what went wrong and let the wins just… evaporate. Stop that.

Remember this
Not every hill. And every win counts — bank it.
✍️ What battle can I drop this week? And what win am I forgetting to count?
🏦
One small thing: Tonight, name one battle you'll skip tomorrow and one win you're banking from today.
11
A rhythm bends.
A schedule breaks.
Love Hard, Love Deep ♡ — A
REAL · RAW · TRUTH
From Amanda

I tried the color-coded, hour-by-hour schedules. Worked for exactly one good day — then a sick kid or a flat tire snapped it clean in half and somehow I was the failure. So I quit scheduling and started doing rhythms. A rhythm is "mornings kinda go like this," not "7:02 we brush teeth." It bends on a bad day and it's still there when the storm passes. You don't need a tighter schedule. You need a rhythm that survives real life.

Remember this
Build a rhythm that bends. A schedule just gives you one more thing to fail at.
✍️ Where am I forcing a rigid schedule when a flexible rhythm would actually hold?
🌊
One small thing: Pick ONE part of your day — mornings or bedtime — and write it as a loose rhythm: 3 steps, in order. No times.
12
You're still in there.
I see you.
Love Hard, Love Deep ♡ — A
REAL · RAW · TRUTH
From Amanda

On the days you feel like a ghost in your own house — you catch yourself in a window and barely know her — hear me. She's still in there. The one who dreams and belly-laughs and has a whole world going on under all this. She got quiet. She got covered. She is not gone. And on the days you can't find her, let me look for her for you. I see you. Still in there. Still worth digging out.

Remember this
You didn't disappear. You got covered up. There's a difference.
✍️ When did I last feel the most "me" — and what was I doing?
👋
One small thing: Go do a sliver of that thing this week. Five minutes counts. The point is to wave at her.
13
Love Hard.
Love Deep.
Love Hard, Love Deep ♡ — A
REAL · RAW · TRUTH
From Amanda

This is the one I sign everything with, because it's the whole thing under all the systems and rhythms and reminders. We do this — the thankless, invisible, gorgeous grind of it — because we love hard and we love deep. That love is not your weak spot. It's the reason you keep getting up. So when you're running on empty wondering if any of it lands: it does. The love is the legacy. Everything else is just logistics. Now go save a little of that fierce love for you — you've earned a spot on your own list.

Remember this
The love is the legacy. Everything else is just logistics.
✍️ How do I want my kids to remember the way I loved them — and the way I loved myself?
💞
One small thing: Tell one person in your house, out loud, why you love them. Then write one line of that love to yourself.

🆘 The Mom Reset Emergency Guide

Print this one. Tape it inside a cabinet door. For the moment it's all too much.

When everything feels like too much

Do these. In order. That's it.
🛑

STOP

Right where you are. Whatever you were doing can wait ninety seconds — I've checked, the world doesn't end. Put it down. You're allowed to stop before you snap, not just after.

🌬️

BREATHE

One real breath. In through your nose, slow, out longer than you took it in. Three times. Your body thinks it's in danger — this is how you tell it you're not. We're just remembering you have lungs.

💧

DRINK WATER

I know. But half the time "I'm losing it" is "I haven't had water since 7am." Get a full glass. Drink the whole thing. Smallest, dumbest, most reliable reset there is.

🍞

FEED YOURSELF

When did you last eat something not off a kid's plate? Go eat. Doesn't have to be good for you. Crackers, the cheese stick, whatever's close. Fed is enough — that goes for you too.

🎯

CHOOSE ONE THING

Not the list. One thing that makes the next hour 10% easier. Pick it. Do only it. The rest will still be there, and you'll be steadier when you reach it.

🤝

ASK FOR HELP

The one we skip, and the one that matters most. Text someone: "Today's hard, can you talk?" Hand a kid to your person. Say the embarrassing true thing. Needing help isn't failing — it's being human. You were never supposed to do this alone.

You don't have to do all six. Do the next one. That's enough. — A
Because you'll want more
